It takes someone special to be a thought leader amidst all the brainpower at the BCG Henderson Institute, and Martin Reeves is just that special. I’ve enjoyed collaborating with him over many years, and was tickled that he listed the transient advantage approach as a new strategy idea in his book “Your Strategy Needs a Strategy.” He has a brand-new book out, “The Imagination Machine” in which he lays out solutions to a crushing problem; namely, that ingenious human beings are somehow unable to express all that creativity in the confines of many organizations. Martin’s work draws on the best of scholarship, with an eye toward the “so what” and “what now” that people need to put these ideas into practice.
